Purchased this cartridge because it could be filled with refill ink and reused. When the cartridge was 2/3 empty my printer rejected the cartridge. I tried adding ink but the printer still will not accept the cartridge. Too much time has passed and I cannot return the items.

This is not the bleeding edge of technology, it's just a cartridge with black ink in it. It cost about 2/3rds of the price of my printer, which I still find amusing.

What I don't find amusing is paying $23 for black ink that won't last 1000 pages, for a printer that costs $35, razor blade economics be damned. I understand the need to charge a premium for PREMIUM inks, but plain black ink? Seriously? What is my motivation to not giving away the printer and buying a fresh one for $35?
