We have had two of these arms installed in industrial areas where I work for several years now (17" and 19" widescreens), and I have been very impressed with the look, feel, and durability of them.
While it doesn't provide quite the range of motion of some of the taller, more articulated arms on the market, it makes up for this by being an extremely well-built piece of metal, one I don't feel at all nervous about attaching several hundred dollars of electronics to and then monkeying around with it. They also look very nice--better, in my opinion, than the more articulated arms--and include a plastic cable guide to keep cables out of the way and concealed.
It's also more adjustable than it appears--by changing the positions of the pins holding the arm to the base in the back, you can change the height and how far forward it projects from the mount point. The motion is smooth, and the tension is adjustable. Rotation-wise, the monitor can be rotated a full 360 degrees in either direction, so portrait, landscape, or even upside down is possible.
Also, the reviewer complaining that the tilt joint was too loose and couldn't be adjusted was mistaken; there's a plastic cap that conceals a nut that is used to adjust the tension on that joint. Mine was actually tighter than I wanted, so I loosened it somewhat.
The only possible disadvantage of this arm that I can see is if the VESA mount on the rear of your monitor is not centered and you want some height, the monitor will hang relatively far down. An old ViewSonic 17" that I set up on one of these had that situation, and it didn't leave a whole lot of clearance underneath, though was still entirely usable.
I can certainly recommend these for industrial situations, but based on the finish and durability it would also be the first arm on my list were I buying one for use at home.

I was expecting more flexibility regarding height and depth. I would likely go with a model that had a separate slider for height, BUT they are twice as expensive if not more.
With the standard installation this will not allow you to rotate a 24" monitor. I put in some spacers and used the lowest bolt settings on the clamp and it works ok. It is very stable. I even have it mounted to the side of my desk so that the arm and wires are not as visible.
