Owning this vacuum since late 2008, the performance had been outstanding. no broken parts, no degradation of performance. No it will not replace a corded shop vac but try using a corded vac on site when no 110 power is available.

It can, and does, handle water well when plumbing issues are required for clean up applications.

I charge several battery's before going out to a site for my other tools and this device is just one that requires a fresh supply.

It won't "suck the chrome off a trail hitch" but is far better than all the alternatives out there for a portable shop vac.

This quality, powerful, suitcase-style vacuum was designed with the craftsman and home workshop in mind. If you already have the V28 batteries for other Milwaukee tools, you will find a use for this vacuum. It costs less than one V28 battery. Many work shops have several stations and dragging a hefty shop vac around on rollers through a maze becomes a real pain. It is also great for the commercial handyman who travels to people's homes to do odd jobs and is neat enough in appearance to please the lady who wants the shelves in her bedroom swapped with the shelves in her closet - and a new do-dad added on to where the old do-hickey used to be hanging. For electricians and plumbers who sometimes work without power, this makes clean-up by either blowing or vacuuming a breeze. The self-contained, box shape with carrying handle makes transportation simple. Granted, if I didn't already have several V28 batteries, this tool would not have been an option. However, a man can not have too many tools.
