I got it and put a blade on it and it would not move.
To me balance should be you can breathe on one side of the blade and it should rock.
Heck a quarter didn't make it budge.
I tried filing down the point, a trick others posted any maybe I just didn't file a needle on the end but it didn't seem to help.
Its like the weight of the blade is just too much to make this thing work.

Two level nails into a board work as well or if you choose, a screwdriver held sideways in a vice, or even a nail in the side of your workbench. However, if you do use this neat balancer, do what reviewer J.E. Tomczy recommended and file down the tip. It makes it more sensitive. Worth the money!

Works great and very simple to use. I suffer from severe arthritis and don't have great flexibility in my hands. Blade balancer has made the chore of balancening blades very easy to accomplish.
